Dawgs get the best of Bombers in Okotoks

The Brooks Bombers paid another visit to Seaman Stadium in Okotoks where they lost 11-4. The Dawgs would send out William Fife for another outing against Brooks while Leroy Tavarez would make his first start as a Bomber.

Fife would cruise through the first three innings getting help from his defense. Brooks was able to get on base but they grounded into inning ending double plays. Tavarez was also crusing through the order until the third inning. The Dawgs would send nine men to the plate and score five runs on five hits. Kayden Williams would get things going with an RBI single and then Spencer Sullivan hit another single this time scoring a pair of runners. Barry Eiserman would finnish off the inning with another single that would score two more.

The Bombers would slowly start to chip away as Cash Benavidez drove in the first run for Brooks in the top of the fourth. In the fifth the Bombers would start andother two out rally with Joeseph Gelpi and Payton matthews reaching base. After Matthews stol his league leading 13th base of the season. Gelpi would come in to score off a past ball.

Okotoks would get one back before having another big inning. Nash Crowell hit a solo homerun and then with Spencer Sullivan on base Barry Eiseman hit a two run shot. Brendan Luther would hit a single up the middle to score run number 10 for the Dawgs.

Ned Ceklic who is usually a position player would come in to pitch and Immediately give up a moonshot to Tucker Zdunich. That would be the only run he would surrender as he got out of the inning.

In the top of the ninth Brett Griggs would come in for Jacob Gillis and had Maddox Shaver and Payton Matthews on base. Griggs would hit a single to drive in a pair of runs. Unfortunately the game would end shortly there after as Okotoks would remain undefeated at home.

Its a big week coming up for the Bombers as they have a four game homestand with two game series against Fort McMurray and Swift Current. Thursday is Halloween in June night, friday is a beach party at the park, Saturday is 90’s night and Sunday is the fathers day game. Bidding for the custom game worn jerseys for sunday are live!
