The Brooks Bombers 2023 Schedule has been released!
The Bombers look to improve on their record breaking 2022 campaign, we are excited and have expectations to make a deep run in the 2023 playoffs. The 2023 season begins with a home and home series against the defending WCBL Champion Okotoks Dawgs, who eliminated the Bombers from last year’s playoffs. The Bomb Squad travel to Seaman Stadium on Friday May 26th, before returning home to Elks Field for the 2023 Season Home Opener on Saturday May 27th. The Bombers welcome our Highway 1 rivals, the Medicine Hat Mavericks on Saturday June 17th. The next day we host our 2nd consecutive Father’s Day game when the Sylvan Lake Gulls fly into Elks field. We again expect to be holding our annual jersey auction, so keep your eyes and ears open for more details and other special dates throughout the season.
The Bombers will be travelling to Okotoks for Canada Day, before returning home to host a special July 4th game versus the Lethbridge Bulls. This year’s schedule will see all WCBL teams visiting Elks Field, which is a first for the league. The WCBL All-Star game once again will be held in Okotoks on Saturday July 15th. With new Head Coach Blake Rowlett leading the way and the hard work GM Jason Wandler has been putting in this off season, they have high expectations for the 2023 Bomb Squad. Blake’s knowledge of the WCBL, being a former Champion will prove to be a huge asset for our club. Blake and Jason are excited to get the season underway! Keep an eye out over the coming months as we will begin announcing player signings over our social media accounts..
